Menopause can be stated as the last menstrual cycle in a woman’s life. It is part and parcel of your life similar to many other things. These symptoms begin long before your menstruation cycle completely stops. The symptoms of menopause can last for months or even years. If there are no periods in 12 successive months, it means you have reached menopause. It is a natural process which is related to hormonal, physical and psychosocial changes in your life.

Symptoms of Menopause Irregular Periods Gain weight Hot Flashes Sleep disorder /Insomnia Mood Swings Irritation Memory lapse Headache Vaginal or bladder infection Abnormal hair growth

Home Remedies For Symptoms of Menopause Drink a glass of water at the first sign of hot flashes. Keep yourself fit by walking, jogging, bicycling, dancing, and swimming. This helps immensely to provide relief from the symptoms of menopause. Avoid hot and spicy foods. Keep away from alcohol and caffeine which can trigger hot flashes. Try to relax by adopting breathing techniques to soothe and calm your body. Wear comfortable clothes which are made of natural fibers like cotton or wool. Keep wet towel napkins handy as it may be useful during one of the hot flashes episode. Drink plenty of water and other fluids like juices to maintain the body temperature. A balanced diet is very important to get you past this problem. Have calcium and vitamin E rich diet such as milk and milk products, ragi, fish and wheat germ. Beetroot juice is very useful to evading menopausal problems.

Many women, at a slightest provocation, would have waves of intense emotions, such as anger go through them. Many would be intolerant of behaviors that transgressed their own limits, and limits of others. Some women would be focused on their sense of outrage and anger, and would intervene, frequently on behalf of others.

Black cohosh is a very popular herb women use to help cut down on the symptoms of menopause. Black cohosh can help with hot flashes, cramps, and heavy menstrual bleeding. Research studies have also shown that black cohosh may even help prevent osteoporosis. Most research studies recommend you take black cohosh extract, and it may take two to four weeks before noticed results occur.

Like black cohosh, chasterberry (or vitex agnus castus) can help alleviate symptoms of menopause including hot flashes and vaginal dryness. In addition to these symptoms of menopause, chasterberry may also help with breast tenderness. Women have reported it taking up to four weeks to achieve noticeable results.

While the symptoms of menopause can be uncomfortable, bothersome, and irritating, there is hope. In addition to traditional hormone replacement therapy, many options are available to help lessen, or even eliminate the symptoms of menopause.

Women who are going through menopause can experience all sorts of changes which are hard to deal with. Sometimes the worst part is the constantly changing emotions that many women experience. Irritability and sadness are the most prevalent emotional problems associated with menopause. This is one of the most frequently experienced menopause symptoms. Feelings of depression may also accompany menopause, even though it's not technically a symptom of the condition.

Women who are passing through menopause can experience all sorts of changes that are hard to get relief from. Most particularly, the ever changing range of emotions is often quite distressing. Irritability and sadness are the most typical emotional problems linked to menopause. Other often unmanageable feelings include aimlessness, anxiety, aggression, difficulty concentrating, and fatigue. And of course mood swings are one of the most common menopause symptoms. Despite the fact that it’s not specifically a symptom of menopause, depression can also take hold during this time in a woman’s life.

It is also common to feel uncomfortable about the physical changes that are occurring. Some of these issues involve loss of fertility, hot flashes, excessive sweating and weight gain. Unfortunately, it is possible to wind up experiencing any or all of these emotions in just a brief amount of time. Lots of women feel like there’s nothing they can do about these distressing and bewildering symptoms and issues.

Even after menopause ends, you’ll will have to deal with the matter of post-menopausal symptoms. This is yet another period of physical changes. These changes can also involve some strong emotions; luckily, they won’t all be negative.

Fortunately, however, that there are a number of things you can do to help you feel like your life is your own once more. Although it might be hard, it’s important to maintain an upbeat attitude during menopause. Tension and anxiety could make your symptoms worse. Use relaxation techniques like breathing exercises, yoga, and regular exercise to control stress. It’s also important to talk to others about the problems that accompany menopause. You can talk about your concerns with family members, friends, or join a support group. Investigate as many sources of information as you can so as to arm yourself with knowledge.

Often, your symptoms can be managed through lifestyle changes, like learning to relax and reduce stress. The following tips might help you better manage your constantly shifting emotions. Both your physical and emotional health will enjoy a boost.

* Eat healthfully and exercise regularly

* Get as much sleep as you can

* Learn to calm yourself with yoga or meditation

* Keep away from sugar, caffeine, alcohol and tranquilizers

* Start a creative pursuit that helps you feel like you’re accomplishing something

* Stay connected with your family and friends

You won’t get through life without experiencing change of some kind or another. When it relates to the changes that menopause brings into your life, the key is to deal with it as positively as you can. Also, learn to stay calm and stress free when situations arise which are out of your control. Take good care of yourself, reward yourself occasionally and make the best of the situation. Eventually it will end, and a new chapter of your life will await you.

Menopause is a difficult time for many women, and requires them to make a number of adjustments to their lifestyle in order to combat the symptoms.

Usually menopause symptoms will begin to some degree when no one in turns forty-something. This is when estrogen in the body will begin to decrease and changes will start to occur. There are multiple symptoms for menopause and for some women, the symptoms begin at a relatively young age.

Menopause occurs, as with many other changes in the human body, at different times for different people. The order of the symptoms does not occur the same in women, the length of time the symptoms last is not the same, and the severity of the symptoms differs. Therefore, it is important that you get in touch with your own body and are a wearer with changes are occurring.

While irregular periods are a symptom, it is not the big indicator it once was that a body is beginning to change. The reason for this is that many women experience irregular periods throughout their lives. There are many different triggers for irregular periods. A woman may work in a stressful job, be an athlete, eat an unhealthy diet, or work in a physically exerting environment on a regular basis. All of these have an impact on the regularity, or irregularity, of a period.

It isn’t until estrogen starts to decrease in the body that we notice what a large role it plays in keeping us mentally and physically balanced. One of the symptoms that is often ignored, or not identified, is a general feeling that our body is “out of balance”. A person may feel just a little off and find it difficult to cope with situations that normally were not a problem.

Something about your body just doesn’t feel right, it may feel that you are a little off balance. Suddenly, your feelings get hurt more easily, you cry when you never cry, or you begin to tear up at sad commercials on television. You may feel fine one minute and over-react to a slight the next. This is a symptom that cannot be denied. It is sort of like mega-PMS. Only, you don’t have the reassurance that it will end when you start your period. One day you will way up and be okay. Learning to cope with this roller coaster will be a challenge, but it will be possible if you learn so of the key steps for relaxation and coping.

Over 75% of women suffer from hot flashes or cold flashes when they enter menopause. Depending on how fast your estrogen is decreasing, you may suffer these hot flashes very often or periodically. In most cases, the hot flashes will last until the menopause has ended. Dealing with the hot and cold flashes can be a challenge. You may want to begin by layering your clothing so that you can easily get cooler or warmer when needed without assuming that everyone around you is as hot, or as cold, as you are.

The sessions see the majority of women who are entering menopause for symptoms of fatigue. Fatigue in menopause can be difficult to cope with when it is a “crashing fatigue”. This is very common in women, and is a lot like crashing from a sugar rush. On the positive side you will not have a headache that you get from crashing after eating a day of candy. The negative side is that you will probably need a nap before your energy returns.

There are many natural remedies available for dealing with the symptoms of menopause. You may want to do some research and experimentation to find what works best for you. In most cases, the knowledge that it will pass is a great help for menopause symptoms.

Learn how you can better manage menopause and perimenopause symptoms – from natural herbs for menopause to effective hot flash remedies that work.

Menopause can be a boon or a bane depending on how you view the condition. But for most women, it’s a terrible thing to go through — what with all the symptoms and discomfort that go with it. If you’re wondering whether you’re already going through menopause, then check this list of common symptoms.

#1 ” Irregular periods. This is more pronounced in healthy women who have experienced regular periods in their youth. Some periods are much heavier than usual while others are nonexistent. The duration of periods may also experience some irregularity ” while a period usually lasts around five days in healthy women, the onset of menopause may cause periods to last as short as one day or as long as ten.

Keep in mind that menopause doesn’t happen immediately — it’s a gradual change. The first stage of menopause is called “pre-menopause,” and it usually starts a few years before the real menopause begins. Pre-menopausal symptoms are light and tolerable, but gradually increase in intensity as menopause approaches.

#2 – Hot flashes. These sudden spikes in body temperature can happen early in the day or evening, and usually result in sweating and discomfort. These flashes aren’t very uncomfortable if they last less than a minute, but they can get in the way of things when they last around 30 minutes.

#3 – Sadness and anxiety. Mood swings may be brought about as hormone levels drop during menopause. This can lead to more serious psychological problems if left untreated, so it’s very important to recognize this is as just another symptom of menopause. Nevertheless, it can still strain social ties, so it’s best to have a support group, such as family and friends, around during this difficult period.

#4 ” Decreased libido, or pain during sex. Menopause’s hormonal changes can cause the vagina to be more sensitive and less lubricated, which can make sex painful. This is obviously another problem that can be dangerous if left untreated!

These are only some of the more common symptoms of menopause. There are other symptoms that are less common but are still experienced by many women, and they can be quite depressing.

But then again, menopause can be a blessing and not a curse if you choose to see it that way. For instance, if you were worried about conceiving, you can now enjoy guilt-free sex once your system stops ovulating.

It’s very important to see your doctor regularly when your symptoms begin to get in the way of everyday life. Your special case may require special treatment.
