Searching for a menopause natural remedy? You’re fortunate! Virtually a million females in the United States commence menopause each year.

The change of life hits once the amounts of estrogen and progesterone from the body decrease. This may effect signs or symptoms such as exhaustion, insomnia, irregular periods, moodiness, frequent urination, brain fogginess as well as losing memory to name a few. Many people may well possibly not know the following data about Menopause.

In the US, there are an estimated 41.75 million women over the age of 50. Most women spend 1/3 to 1/2 of their life in post menopause. Spontaneous menopause occurs at the average age of 51.4 years in Western women. The menopause transition lasts an average of 4 years. Recent surveys have found that more than half of all women don’t know that menopause is associated with an increased risk of heart disease. One half of all women over 50 will at some time have a fracture caused by osteoporosis.

One particular of the best ways to decrease menopause signs and symptoms is through yoga exercise.

Yoga is a process of theory and training. It is usually a mixture of inhaling and exhaling techniques, physical postures, as well as meditation that has been in use for more than five thousand years.

It is important to be clear that when it comes to a menopause natural remedy yoga exercise will not be a cure-all for menopause symptoms; instead it’s a versatile physical activity, breathing and relaxation training which will sustain the entire body as it undergoes quite a few intricate hormone shifts.

You will discover yoga poses that may in a very basic sense “focus on” quite a few menopausal symptoms. You can check out yoga exercise on-line, through DVDs or perhaps go to classes- any combination of these would be perfect.

A menopause natural remedy such as yoga exercises might help hugely in cutting down menopausal symptoms and making this particular natural passage in life for adult females a far more pleasant journey.

Always make sure you discuss with your medical doctor prior to your commencing any routine of physical activity or take any medications. That is your journey, take charge the natural way.

These days many women are training themselves on the best menopause natural treatment that does not involve the synthetic hormones that are so regularly prescribed. Although hormone replacement therapy is still used widely in the U. S. to scale back the negative symptoms related to menopause, many females are becoming increasingly wary about this form of treatment that has reported adverse effects which include cancer.

The great news is that many of the non-drug menopause natural remedies are effective and not harmful and can be purchased privately from home.

The most well liked forms of menopause natural remedies are herbal. They can be presented in aromatherapy treatments, creams, oils, gels, teas, tablets or ointments. They are effective because they mimic the body’s own hormone production of estrogen and can cut back the fluctuation in hormone levels that cause menopause symptoms such as night sweats, low libido, insomnia, hot flashes, brain fogginess and mood swings to name a few. Most herbal formulas include maca root, dong quai, red clover or black cohosh.

Not only do to these herbs have the ability to mimic female hormones like estrogen, they additionally have their own special attributes that are notably good as a menopause natural treatment. For example, black cohosh has been excellent in mitigating the severity and how often a woman experiences profuse sweating at night, waves of hot flashes and intimate dryness.

Additionally, it evidently can do miracles with smoothing out the personality and reducing the frequency of mood changes. Maca root is known for bringing back a good libido. Dong quai works very well in combination with black cohosh and fights an inability also. Moreover, red clover has been known to chill night sweats and strengthen the cardiovascular system. An additional herb that is growing in its application with its wonderful benefits as a natural menopause treatment is clary sage. It is believed to regulate hormones and is most often used with geranium. Some gurus proclaim that clary sage also helps menopausal headaches, disrupted digestion, weepiness, moodiness, bloating, indigestion and hopelessness.

If you choose a menopause natural treatment in lieu of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) make sure that you verify the origin of the herbs. Not all brands are equal in quality, efficacy or strength. Take some time to check the origin of the herbs when possible, review the guaranties and return policies of the companies that sell them and the objective reviews of those who have taken them.

Before you survive one more hour with awful menopause side effects, make sure to investigate some menopause natural remedies. Take the time to read about how homeopathic remedies can get you feeling great again.

For many years hormone replacement therapy was considered the medical norm to give to women who were going through menopause. Now known as hormone therapy, was a therapy that they thought not only treated the symptoms of menopause but may have also had a factor in lessening the threats of heart disease and osteoporosis.

Doctors started questioning the validity of this therapy after a clinical study in 2002 that produced evidence that hormone replacement therapy may not be as healthy as once thought that it was. Parts of the clinical testing revealed that this therapy actually might be causing more health hazards than preventing. Once doctors started studying the results of this particular test, they started changing their minds about whether or not their patients should be on this therapy long term.

The treatment takes estrogen and combines it with the man made hormone progestin. Given to patients who had trouble with handling the symptoms of menopause like hot flashes and other symptoms that come a long with menopause. This therapy use to be a long term therapy that lasted over a period of years. Because of the test however; long term use is rarely used as compared to its more common short term use presently.

Doctors have discovered that if the Bioidentical Hormone Replacement therapy is given short term, some of the health benefits can still be achieved. Doctors are discovering that with short term use, the threat of osteoporosis is lessened, heart disease with short term use might still be lessened but the therapy should be administered to the woman when they are in the early stages of post menopause. When used in moderation it is possible that the therapy can lower the risk of colorectal cancer.

If a woman has entered menopause, it is really important that she seriously consider whether or not she wants to risk taking the therapy over a long extended period of time. If they feel that the extent of their menopause is too much for them to handle as compared to the possible hazards, they might want to see if their doctor will put them on the therapy to help make menopause more tolerable.

Women and doctors both need to consider the risks seriously. It is now suspected that with long term use of hormone therapy it might actually increase the risk of heart disease. Long term use of hormones might also increase the risk of breast cancer. The increase in strokes has also been linked to the long term use as well as more false positive mammograms.

With women who have only taken estrogen for therapy it was discovered that they did not seem to have an increase in heart disease, but they still had an increase in strokes, an increase in blood clots of the legs and there seemed to be more mammograms that tested positive when they were negative.

Should a woman strongly believe that the symptoms she is suffering during menopause is far too life disrupting and they feel the risks are small compared to the menopause it would be advisable for them to contact their doctor and sit down and discuss the possible implementation of hormone therapy. Other things that might influence a woman to take the therapy is if the doctor has discovered that the woman is suffering from bone loss. Another reason might be if the woman began menopause before the age of 40.

If you happen to be suffering from any of the symptoms mentioned above, then trying the hormone therapy on a short term basis, might be able to help you with your problems. It will be up to your doctor however; to decide whether you should be put on long term versus short term.

Compounding pharmacists are professionals with specialized and trustworthy expertise in the medical field. Among the best within their industry, they have knowledge of procedures like the Bioidentical Hormone Replacement, or better known as the BHRT.

Hormone replacement therapy, now more commonly known as hormone therapy, use to be medical worlds standard treatment for those women suffering from hot flashes and other side effects of going through menopause. They also thought that it could help prevent osteoporosis and even heart disease.

In 2002 however; the minds of many in the medical field changed when they saw the results of a clinical test. What the test uncovered is that the hormone replacement therapy could actually be causing a lot more health hazards than benefits. As the doctors saw the increase of health hazards with women on this therapy they began to prescribe it less and less and a lot of women completely stopped it on their own when they heard the news about it may being dangerous.

Those who took the hormone replacement therapy were given estrogen and progestin. This therapy would ease some of the symptoms of menopause making life easier for the women going through a difficult menopause. The long term prescriptions for this are rarely given now, on occasion though, women are given the treatment for short term.

If the bioidentical hormone replacement is given short term, there still might be some health benefits. Over short periods of time, doctors have discovered that it can help lessen the chances of getting osteoporosis. If used moderately, the hormone therapy may still be able to lower the risk of developing colorectal cancer. Heart disease risk can be lowered if estrogen is given in the early stage of postmenopausal years but not throughout the entire cycle of menopause.

There are risks for taking hormone replacement therapy and women who are experiencing menopause should weigh the facts and figure out if menopause is causing that much disruption in their lives that it would be worth chancing the hazards that come with the therapy.

Long term use of the therapy actually increased the threat of heart disease in women who took the real therapy. Breast cancer appeared to increase with long term use. Strokes increased in women that took the long term therapy. There were also an increase in false positive mammograms.

On the other hand, if women only took estrogen did not seem to have an increase in heart disease or breast cancer, but; they did have an increase in strokes, blood clots in their legs and an increase in abnormal mammograms.

If your menopausal symptoms are far greater than the risk, you should talk to your doctor if the following things are bothering you the most. If you have severe hot flashes and other menopausal symptoms that are interfering with daily life. It has been discovered that you have lost bone mass and you have stopped having your period before the age of forty.

If you experience any of the above mentioned situations, it might be wise for you to consider the treatment anyway. Your doctor will be able to identify whether or not what you are experiencing is extreme enough to begin you on the hormone therapy.

Compounding pharmacists are professionals with specialized and trustworthy expertise in the medical field. Among the best within their industry, they have knowledge of procedures like the Bioidentical Hormone Replacement, or better known as the BHRT.

This year, it’s really all about bio identical hormones. As a replacement for traditional hormonal therapy, bio identical hormones have reached a level of public interesting that means you’ll be noticing their names in the media a whole lot more than previously. As a result, we’ve compiled 4 of the reasons they’re going to be so big.

#4: They Can’t Be Patented.

Unlike other hormone replacement therapy drugs, bio identical hormones are done on a customized basis, usually from a compound pharmacy. As they are done specifically to match the needs of the patient taking them, there is no standard formula that can be patented by a big pharmaceutical company.

#3: Natural, whatever it is – is Very Much ‘In’ Right Now.

Normally, hormone replacement drugs are produced synthetically, using other hormones and chemical compounds. While bio identical hormones also use synthetic elements (often soy extracts), the final result is a biologically identical hormone that is the same as the naturally-occuring one found in women’s bodies. This is a fundamental difference from the hormonal drugs women have been taking since the 1940s.

#2: Awareness is Reaching a Tipping Point. What does this mean?

You’ve probably heard of this “tipping point” before, as it just means the moment when a concept moves from wide knowledge to a complete and utter success or full awareness. 2010 is likely going to be that moment for bio identical hormones.

#1: Oprah Winfrey is Taking Bio Identical Hormones.

Oprah’s endorsement or featuring of a product can be exactly what moves something into this whole “tipping point” in the first place. She’s recently featured bio identical hormones extensively on her program, and this has created the perfect conditions for the “tipping point” talked about above. It’s simply a matter of time.

Are bio identical hormones for you? If you are looking for an honest advise on hormone replacement therapy – you will find it on Dr.Erika Schwartz website.

Not all products are similar in quality, effectiveness or potency. Take the time to check the origin of the herbs when possible, review the warranties and what needs to be done to return an item to the businesses that distribute them and the non-subjective testimonials of women who have used them.

Are you trying to find a menopausal natural cure? Relax! Each and every year, over a million women in America alone, will begin menopause. And, lets face it, every one of those women could use a little guidance in relieving their menopause symptoms.

Menopause is defined by a reduction in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body. This is a normal process and need not be “fixed”. Rather, what is at issue are the symptoms of exhaustion, inability to sleep, erratic menstrual cycles, mood fluctuations, relentless urination, brain fuzziness and poor memory. Many women today, who suffer horribly with the onset of menopause are seeking a menopause natural remedy that will give them relief or a cure from these awful symptoms.

Tons of women are more and more worried about the negative secondary effects of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and hope to never take prescription medications to lessen their menopause symptoms. A highly effective way to reduce menopause symptoms without medicines is to use a menopause natural remedy like exercises such as yoga. Doing yoga has helped not only in the reduction of symptoms, but also in creating a mind-body connection in healing where a woman can meditate, breathe deeply and bond with other menopausal women who have similar experiences.

It has also been cited that weight bearing exercises and training for strength may help sustain strong bones. Current studies have concluded that physical movement by itself, can control hot flashes by at least 55%. Other studies of menopausal women have cited a 3.5% increase in lumbar spine bone mineral density for women who stuck to an exercise plan as opposed to a 2.7% decrease in a group of women who didn’t regularly exercise. It is important to keep in mind that plenty of women do not have a set exercise workout and they may find the idea of a new routine scary. The nature of yoga as a meditative and gentle exercise practice may turn out to be a great fit with excellent results.

It is critical that we are clear on the fact that yoga as a menopause natural remedy won’t eliminate all symptoms for all women, rather we need to be clear that yoga is a breathing, stretching and relaxation practice that can help the body cope with the side effects of fluctuating hormone levels.

Furthermore, yoga can be beneficial when working on the psychological challenges that can often go hand in hand with the physical changes in the body. Plenty of women have found that yoga has added great benefits to their lives at this time.

There are yoga positions which serve as a menopause natural remedy and can in a general sense “target” some menopausal symptoms. For example, back bends can be very good for lifting the moods. Inversion or opposite process poses where the head is down, have been known to benefit the hormonal systems of the body. These poses might include standing on the shoulders or head or simple forward bends.

Many yoga experts will argue that it is critical to balance your yoga routine with supportive poses and athletic poses. Standing poses such as the triangle have also been proven to support the menopausal transition. The most important aspect to employing yoga as a menopause natural remedy is to pay attention to what is working and what isn’t. Just as the hormone levels in the body fluctuate, so will the need for you to change poses that work best with your particular symptoms.

We all can agree that every menopause transition is unique. A menopause natural remedy like yoga can really help in reducing the tough symptoms of menopause and make this normal change in life more tolerable.

Be sure to always consult your physician before commencing any program of physical activity. In addition, be sure to cover the effects that medications have, whether they be prescription or over the counter remedies. This is your body, you can make your own good decisions.

INTRODUCTION: Menopause is the time in a woman’s life when menstruation stops permanently, signifying the end of her ability to produce children and is diagnosed when a woman has gone without a period for 1 full year. It is considered premature if it happens before the age of forty, or artificial if radiation exposure, chemotherapeutic drugs, or surgery induces it. Menopause is something that happens to every women as they get older.

HOT FLASHES: Hot flashes are probably the most bothersome symptom associated with approaching menopause and are experienced by a majority of females during the transition period (no pun intended). An ancient Chinese therapy gives some menopausal women another treatment option for their hot flashes.

For others however, the decreasing levels of estrogen associated with menopause may cause more distressing symptoms that include: Mood swings – Decreased sex drive – Hot flashes – Sweating – Racing heart (palpitations) – Headaches – Vaginal dryness and soreness – Trouble sleeping and Bone thinning (osteoporosis). These symptoms can last from a few months to up to 10 years.

HORMONES: Known as the “change of life”, It is the last stage of a gradual biological process in which the ovaries decrease their production of female sex hormones–a process which commences about 3 to 5 years before the last menstrual period. When you are in your mid-30’s, your ovaries start to change how much estrogen and progesterone (two female hormones) they create.

During this time, known as perimenopause, which can last anywhere from 5 to 15 years, the brain continues to send out hormones in an attempt to stimulate the development of ovarian follicles, and it is common for a woman’s ovaries to respond erratically, so that her hormones fluctuate considerably from month to month. It continues to create hormones even after ovulation ceases, producing some estrogen and also androgens (male hormones) including testosterone.

To best understand what occurs during menopause, it is helpful to know about the physiology of menstruation and the hormones that are involved in your monthly cycle. Changes in hormones are a major factor in that sense of physical, mental, and emotional imbalance that may characterize a woman’s experience of menopause.

A lot of women discover that the right combination of herbs, exercise, nutritional support, and natural hormones helps them to control most of their symptoms. Eventually your ovaries stop creating estrogen and other hormones.

CANCER: Your risks for heart disease, cancer, and bone thinning (osteoporosis) increase after menopause. You should be checked for colon, rectal and skin cancer. If you have a family history of breast cancer, check with your doctor about your risk. If you have a uterus and decide to take estrogen, you must also take progesterone to prevent endometrial cancer (cancer of the lining of the uterus).

“There’s been much experimental evidence and patient experience showing estrogen given alone can lead to endometrial cancer,” says FDA’s Smith. Endometrial cancer is not the only risk from estrogen use. It is not known whether estrogen use increases the risk of breast cancer, or what effect adding progestin would have on this risk. In recent years, many studies on breast cancer and estrogen use have been conducted, with conflicting results, says Smith.

TREATMENT: Menopause has become increasingly medicalized, which means it is viewed as something that requires intervention and treatment rather than as a natural life transition that may benefit from support. You don’t need treatment for it unless your symptoms bother you. Be sure to talk to your doctor about your possible health risks before you start a treatment for menopausal symptoms.

There are also “natural” treatments for the symptoms that can be bought without a prescription. You can commence or end the treatment at any time.

CONCLUSION: Menopause is a normal process and not a disease. It is a normal part of life just like puberty. Part of the stigma is its association with aging, but we age no more quickly in our 50s than in any other decade of life. In the US, the average age is 51, with the majority of women usually reaching natural menopause sometime between 40 and 58 years of age. If you’ve never been an exerciser, it is a great excuse to start.
